Neurofeedback Certification
Because the NTCB certifies a large number of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback professionals, it is important, before applying, that you read about the certification process and familiarize yourself with it.
When you are ready to apply for certification, please follow these steps:
- Meet NTCB blueprint certification requirements and pass the certification examination. Upon mastering the technician requirements, complete the requirements for certification as either a biofeedback or neurofeedback specialist or Board Certified Neurotherapist and pass the proctored Specialist Certification Examination. NOTE: Candidates who hold a Ph.D. and/or licensed medical/mental health professional degrees are eligible to certify as neurotherapists. All others certify as neurofeedback specialists. Please contact the NTCB if you are unclear about your qualifications.
- Provide proof and required documentation to substantiate having met NTCB blueprint certification requirements.
- Complete the appropriate application:
Neurofeedback Technician - for applicants applying as a Certified Neurofeedback Technician.
Neurofeedback Specialist - for applicants applying as a Neurofeedback Specialist, Stress Management Specialist, or both.
Board Certified Neurotherapist - for board certified neurotherapist applicants.
Neurofeedback Recertification - for applicants renewing their certification.
Reciprocal Neurofeedback - for applicants who were previously certified by a nationally recognized neurofeedback certification board.
Technician Employee - for Biofeedback / Neurofeedback employers only
